After marijuana decriminalization in Cincinnati, Columbus lawmakers could soon follow suit

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) — Columbus City Council President Shannon G. Hardin and council member Shayla Favor are convening another hearing to consider relaxing marijuana laws in the city.

Last week, Cincinnati lawmakers decriminalized the drug. Anyone caught with less than 100 grams of marijuana only faces a citation, the legal and financial penalties are drastically lowered or eliminated altogether. Columbus has been considering a similar change for some time.
